Yevgeny Kutik Publicity Release
Publicity Release (March 14, 2010) -- YEVGENY KUTIK
VIOLIN RECITAL
with Tim Bozarth
SUNDAY MARCH 21ST 3 P.M.
TEMPLE EMANUEL, NEWTON
Works of Beethoven, Prokofiev and shorter works.
"Yevgeny Kutik is one of the most brilliant of the younger generation of violinists.
He has a dark, brooding intensity - a legacy of his Russian heritage - ideal for Prokoviev, and a light-hearted exuberance perfectly suited to Beethoven's youthful Eb sonata. Kutik has the virtuosity and panache to bring off the short pieces that always concluded the programs of the great violinists of the past.
If you have a youngster in your life who is learning the violin, this would be a wonderful opportunity to inspire them to reach for the next level. He's awfully handsome too!"
Benjamin Zander
Conductor of the Boston Philharmonic and Faculty at New England Conservatory
Yevgeny Kutik, received his Master's degree at the New England Conservatory where he studied with Donald Weilerstein, and also worked intensively for many years with Benjamin Zander. He just returned from a series of highly successful performances of the Saint-Saens 'Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso' with the WDR Radio Symphony under Antony Hermus in Cologne, Germany. DerWesten reported that it was a "peak performance...Kutik enraptured the crowd with the Introduction and Rondo Capricciosso."
